In readiness to resume full academic activities after five months of strike, a meeting of the Time Table Committee of the University of Uyo is was held yesterday Tuesday 3rd December 2013.
The authorities of the University say the meeting is one of the events to prove the preparation for the resumption of full academic activities for the second semester of the 2013/2014 academic session.
Others are the meeting for the resumption of academic activities which was held today Wednesday 4th December 2013 and the committee of Dean’s meeting scheduled for tomorrow 5th December while the Senate of the University of Uyo will meet on Monday 9th December 2013.
This information is contained in a press statement issued in Uyo by the University Registrar, Mrs. Edak Umo Ndak.
The statement advises students to access the website of the University www.uniuyo.edu.ng and notice boards in the University campus for information and actions to be taken by students before resumption.
This announcement is in compliance with the Federal Government directives that all Federal Government Universities should start full academic activities immediately.
Vice Chancellors are directed by the Federal Government to reopen their campuses for academic programmes.
The Inspector General of Police has directed all state Commissioners of Police to provide adequate securities in Campuses to students and lecturers.
