MC & Stand Up comedian-Dan Kalaba declared his birthday, March 21, ‘World Garri Sipping Day’ and he had friends join him at the UniUyo Mini Stadium to sip flakes made from cassava, together with ground nuts.
Garri-sipping is a spectacular Nigerian delicacy somewhat attached to masses in the lower class of the society.
Asides being an MC and Stand Up comedian, Dan Kalaba is of the Tusker’s Republic stock and Co-Presenter of Usiere Show on Atlantic FM 104.5FM.
The ‘Garri’ bash had in attendance respected UniUyo students, the likes of Comrade Lucky Imoh Inyang, the immediate past President Students Union Government, the newly elected Director of Socials- Da Prince, entertainers, and campus journalists among others.
