The war against same sex marriage has been taken to a higher level in the Nigerian Anglican Communion by its introduction of a constitution which subject members who intend to hold leadership position in the church to pledge allegiance to God by denouncing homosexuality.
There was a public renunciation on Sunday in Abuja during the swearing in of new members at the parish council.
The minister while administering the oath said the church sexual orientation needed help and counseling.
The legislation applied to the laity, Clergy and Bishops in the church.
It also banned bisexuals or homosexual from holding any church office.
One of the oath takers, Mr. Lucky said the oath is a guide to those who hold leadership positions in the church.
