The Countdown Newspaper Makes Debut

In view of positioning the media for the 2015 General Elections in Nigeria, a special newspaper dedicated to the Nigerian election has made its debut online and in print.

 
Speaking in Uyo, where the publication finds its base, the Editor-In-Chief stressed the need for a transparent platform where opinions can be expressed, while conducting constructive news analysis and criticism of issues and policies related with the elections; as the voter’s guide, upholding true democracy, and bridging the gap with the grassroots.

 
‘I have heard reports of newspaper editors being threatened in Akwa Ibom, and I can feel the lack of media independence in the air, but The Countdown Newspaper will remain true to its vision against all odds’ Nelson stressed.

 
Published by Photoplay Company & ISTITZ Media Limited, ‘The Countdown Newspaper’ is now available on newsstands to feed Nigerians with unbiased and up to date information about the forth coming elections, and other spectacular events worth counting down to.
