Akwa Ibom South Senatorial District Assembly has urged the new Personal Assistant to Governor Akpabio on Media, Mr. Essien Ndueso to use his position in further propagating the noble ideals of equity, justice and fairplay as regards the 2015 Governorship position in the State.
The group stated this in a congratulatory message to Mr. Ndueso on his recent appointment by Governor Godswill Akpabio into his media team.
The Assembly also thanked Governor Akpabio for appointing their immediate past Assistant Director of Publicity as his aide and assured the governor of their unflinching support to his administration.
In a message endorsed by the General Secretary, Obong Amaette A. Ntuk (JP) on behalf of the Akwa Ibom South (Eket) Senatorial District Assembly’s steering committee, the assembly prayed God to grant him the wisdom to serve his boss effectively in the discharge of his duties.
“Since the Governor’s views and those of the Assembly are similar on the decision to zone the 2015 governorship to our (Eket) senatorial district, you should also use your position to continue your service to your people in further propagating this noble idea in the media”.
“It is the desire and fervent prayer of the steering committee that the Almighty God would grant you the wisdom to serve the Governor well in the discharge of your duties”, the statement adds.
The Akwa Ibom South(Eket) Senatorial District Assembly, has been in the vanguard of advocacy and clamour for the zoning of the 2015 Governorship seat in the state to Eket Senatorial District, and has among its leadership, elder statesman Chief Nduese Essien as Chairman and Amb Etim Uye as Deputy Chairman with Barr Ime Ekpotai and Sir Okon Essang as financial secretary and treasurer respectively
