FRSC Boss Commends Governor Akpabio’s Performance

The Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps Mr Boboye Oyeyemi has commended Governor Godswill Akpabio for his efforts at developing Akwa Ibom State.
The Road Safety boss who spoke while being led round the numerous turnkey infrastructure of the Akpabio administration, stated that he was impressed with the quality of projects executed in the state, saying such projects attest to the hallmark of good leadership.
Mr Oyeyemi who was in Akwa Ibom State to declare open a transport summit organized by the State Ministry of Transports, was led round the different roads network, the Tropicana business and leisure resort, the e-library, the ibom international stadium, the Sheraton Hotel in Ikot Ekpene, and the Hanging bridge in Abak.
At the Ikot Ekpene Medium Security Prisons, the Roads Marshal wondered why such a facility was called a prison, when in actual fact its facilities were enough to be branded a reformation center.
He also expressed his desire to use the facilities at the e-library to host an ICT training programme for road safety marshals in the country.
The Commissioner for Transport Prince Godwin Ntukude, the Personal Assistant to the Governor on Media Mr Essien Ndueso, as well as the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Transport, Sir Offiong Udofe.
Prince Ntukude told the visiting Road marshal that the Government has invested a lot in roads reconstruction and rehabilitation in line with his vision to make Akwa Ibom state an economic hub in the the Gulf of Guinea.
He said with the quality of social infrastructure in the State, Akwa Ibom is set for a massive industrialization programme.The State Commissioner of Police Mr Gabriel Achong, as well as Road Safety Marshals in the State joined in the delegation.
Other places visited by the team included the dualised Aka/Nung Udoe Road, recently commissioned Goodluck Jonathan Boulevard, the four flyovers in the State, the Hanging bridge at Abak, the Abak – Ikot Ekpene road, the Ikot Ekpene recreational park, the ongoing Ikot Ekpene – Uyo dual carriage way, the Specialist Hospital and referral Center in Itu, and the rehabilitated motor parks in the State capital.
