Calabar Carnival Performers Cry Out Over Non-Payment of Fees

Calabar Carnival came with memories of entertainment and fun but performers at the said event are still languishing in penury over non-payment of their performance fees.

Performers at the 2013 Calabar Festival has cried out to the hearing of the press, the situation of their unpaid performance fees by the Cross River State Government.

Twenty five (25) days after the conclusion of the 32-day Festival, some musicians, comedians and dancers are yet to receive payment for the services rendered.

After running out of patience, some of them took to social media to share their plight with the general public, and the issue has raised dusts, with questions requiring answers from different quarters.
