Nollywood Actor Hanks Anuku Turns Born-Again

An air of redemption seems to be permeating the Nigerian entertainment scene as a number of entertainers have since been experiencing an epiphany of some sort.

Like Kanayo O. Kanayo, Charles Okafor, popular Nollywood actor Hanks Anuku seems to be yet another ‘convert’.

The celebrated actor rose to fame in the earlier years of the last decade for his remarkable abilities to believably wear on his characters and also because of his movie roles as an assassin, a robber, a ritualist, etc; attributes that made him a favorite amongst movie producers.

However, in recent time, the Nollywood bad boy seems to be making some conscious efforts to redeem and alienate himself from this ‘bad boy’ image he has since been associated with.

Following his deliverance from alcohol and mental illness by Prophet TB Joshua, an episode that set the path for his salvation, the Ibadan born actor has since relocated to Ghana.

In a recent interview, the actor explained that the reason behind his relocation to the West African country was to get closer to God because so many things happened to him in Nigeria which he was not happy about.
