Meflyn ‘LyN’ Mbom is an anchor of the Uncommon Transformation TV Series at Akwa Ibom State Ministry of Information. The chic, who is blessed with a long neck, tall stature, slender figure, fine features, copper-toned skin, and exotic accent, is a year old today!
She flew into the country a few days back from the UK where she went to study the art of TV Presentation, Documentary Film Making and Public speaking at the London Academy of Media, Film & TV.
She has been able to improve marketability and high profile with humility and grace. In her words “It was a worthy experience to have first hand practical and field operations in the UK media industry with expert practitioners in CNN, BBC and a team that works on the Harry Potter set. Every aspect of it was quite tasking but really rewarding!“.
Lyn is one of the great voices of this generation born in the south. At age 16, she drifted into secular music, enrolled in several musical talent shows like NTA AM Express Rising Star competition, Set Da Stage, Idols West Africa just to mention a few.
Her single ‘jamboree’ rocked the airwaves both nationally and internationally. She won the Musician of The Year Awards at the prestigious UYO City Awards 2010.
Also in her course of music, she has won NIGERIA’S NEXT RATED Art 2012 – by the Nigerian Gospel Music Awards, BEST REGGAE NOMINATED 2012 by the Nigerian Gospel Music Awards and BEST REGGAE NOMINATED 2013 by the Nigerian Gospel Music Award and most recently, she is BEST REGGAE NOMINATED in the 2014 Crystal Awards.
Lyn is a choral leader, a youth advocate, a motivational speaker and an event planner who has impacted so much on the lives of youths and has commanded a lot of influence through her music, media experience and life style.
Her vision is to use music and the media to reach-out to the downcast in the society, assuring them of hope, light, love, grace and letting the world know that Jesus is the only answer to the questions of mankind.
Happy Birthday to Lyn, once again!
