Can any good thing come out of Bethlehem? Sure! It can! To confirm this, Akwa Ibom-born Etimbuk Edem – a student of Federal Government College, Ikot Ekpene is on his way to WORLD UNITY CONVENTION CENTRE, CMS, Lucknow, India to represent Nigeria in the 16th International Computer Fair & Seminar – COFAS 2012. COFAS, a Computer event, is an effort to further the field of IT amongst the young adults of the society.
The Station Road Branch of city Montessori school hosts the Computer Olympiad (COFAS) in August/September every year.
This convention is an internationally recognized competition with competitors representing nations from around the world and this is an effort to encourage advanced computer knowledge amongst the youngsters in the society as computer technology has a deep impact on education.
By bringing together young adults from many countries, the convention helps students to evaluate their own strength on an International level and build a global relationship.
The convention includes competitions and seminars devoted to the field of computers in order to meet the demands of the new millennium.
The importance of computers is evident today and having the perfect know-how of computers can only propel one’s career in the right direction.
None can deny that Computers play a significant role in one’s personal and professional life.
It was only after immense deliberation that the organizing team came to the conclusion that judging the participants under the following heads would be a complete assessment of their knowledge in this field.
