Face of Niger Delta, organized by Goldhouse Productions International, proudly sponsored by Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) is packaged to harness the arts and cultural endowments of the Niger Delta through pageantry as a vehicle for social balance and tourism development in Nigeria.
This world-class event is tailored with contemporary elements enough to woo local, national and international interest. The grand prize, a brand new Kia Rio, was unveiled on Friday 5th September 2014 to the public in a press conference held in Uyo.
It will be carted away by the winner and loads of fabulous prizes for other contestants. The queen will also win a trip to Sun City in South Africa!
Auditions have been held in Calabar, Port Harcourt and Ibadan. Fixed for 22nd – 26th September 2014 at the prestigious Le Meridien Ibom Hotel & Golf Resort, Face of Niger Delta will showcase the best of displays and performances by Councils of Ats & Culture from the nine Niger Delta state – Rivers, Bayelsa, Delta, Edo, Akwa Ibom, Cross River, Imo and Ondo.
Elizabeth Era from Edo State became the first winner of Face of Niger Delta in 2006. The crown has since been won by contestants from other states, of note, Imaobong Udoh from Akwa Ibom in 2007.
