Following the modest success of the maiden edition in September 2013, information made available to our desk has it that preparations have begun for the second edition of Cross River Movie Awards – CRMA-2014.
The maiden edition of CRMA had ‘Nollywood move to Calabar’ for the award designed to celebrate, appreciate and motivate producers of movies shot in the State, with nomination not only open to indigenous movies, but also movies shot in Cross River state.
The award ceremony had in attendance the Cross River state Governor-Senator Liyel Imoke & his wife Obioma, Keppy Ekpeyong Bassey, Shan George, and a handful of other personalities.
Nominations for the award will open in August to ensure enough time for the process, and for the planning of a memorable award ceremony.
When date is announced, as customary, the creme de la creme of Nollywood-Nigeria’s Movie Industry, will gather in the beautiful city of Calabar, under flashy lights, camera and action, enjoying LIVE streaming on the internet for wide viewership, all for the Cross River Movie 48-category-Awards, which is in recognition of the creativity, and deployment of same to better the movie industry in the state.
