A socio-political organization in Akwa Ibom State, 3 for 1 Ambassador have begun mobilization for the Secretary to the State Government, Mr. Udom Emmanuel ahead of next year governorship election in the state.
Speaking with our reporter, the Director, media and publicity of the organization, Mr. Solomon Eyo hinted that the group which already has membership strength drawn from the three senatorial district in the state believes that Mr. Udom Emmanuel has what it takes to govern the state after the expiration of governor Akpabio’s tenure in 2015.
He explained that 3 for 1 Ambassadors was formed to further actualize the unanimous decision by Akwa Ibom people that power must shift to Eket Senatorial in 2015. Mr Solomon stated that the organization aligns itself with governor Akpabio, the PDP in the state and the outcome of the town hall meeting held recently in the state and will stop at nothing to ensure the actualization of the aspiration of the people of Eket Senatorial District.
According to him “it is the belief of 3 for 1 Ambassadors that since Uyo senatorial district have produce a governor in the person of Late Obong Akpan Isemin and Arch Obong Victor Attah, with Ikot Ekpene Senatorial district producing, Barr. Godswill Akpabio in 2007, whose second term tenure winds off may 2015, it is for the sake of unity, equity, justice and fairness that we have resolved to support Mr. Udom Emmanuel who is from Eket Senatorial district to emerge as Akpabio’s successor in 2015”.
Continuing, the 3 for 1 media scribe maintained that with the uncommon transformation witnessed in the state in the past 7 years, under that leadership of governor Godswill Akpabio, the much expected industrialization of the already transformed state will only become a reality when UDOM Emmanuel with a track record of experience in the private sector comes on board as Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom State.
Explaining the vision behind 3 for 1 Ambassadors, Mr. Solomon said the group’s name represents the coming together of Akwa Ibom people from the three senatorial district of Uyo, Eket and Ikot Ekpene for the purpose of championing the course of equity, fairness and justice as it concerns the 2015 governorship race.
He stated that the group is out to support Mr. Udom Emmanuel to emerge the next governor of the state in 2015.
On his part, the president of the group, Mr. Michael James explained that 3 for 1 Ambassadors which is registered with government remains committed to ensuring equity, justice and fairness in the polity as 2015 approaches.
He added that the organization decision to pitch tent with Udom Emmanuel was borne out of the desire to promote peaceful co-existence amongst the three senatorial district of the state hence their decision to support Eket Senatorial District in the 2015 governorship election in the state.
